review: LOFT flash sale

I’m a big fan of LOFT‘s clothing, especially when it comes to professional clothing. At a lot of other stores it feels like the clothing lacks any sort of personality and I don’t see any reason to dress boring-ly just because I’m an ‘adult’ and I have to go to clinic/the hospital. Last week I picked up a few pieces during their online flash sale – all sale items and a few new items were 60% off! Because their regular prices are completely out of my student budget, I only ever purchase anything during their flash sales. They pretty much have a sale going on at all times so if you’re eyeing anything, just wait a couple days and it’ll probably be on sale! They have a ‘Friendsgiving Sale’ coming up so look out for that!

Bottoms

I purchased the Lou & Grey Essential Leggings in both black and charcoal. I got them for $10 during the flash sale but they’re currently on sale for 2 for $40 on the website! As I’m sure you’ve seen in my recent outfit posts, I’ve been allergic to wearing real pants lately. And since I only really have one pair of leggings that are opaque enough for me to even consider wearing them with (longer, obviously) shirts, I’ve been on the hunt for a couple more pairs.I really love these leggings!

They’re incredibly comfortable and the fit is really flattering. I had ordered them in both medium and large but I’m going to keep them in the large (I’m a size 6-8 for reference). Overall, it’s a more flattering fit and it much more comfortable. And because I usually wear them as pants with longer shirts, I wanted it to be a looser fit – not so much like a second skin. In the photos below, I’m wearing either the charcoal or black leggings.

Sweaters

I’m not sure if I’ve ever explicitly declared my love for sweaters on here but it’s a borderline obsession. I grew up on the east coast and I think I left part of my soul there because there honestly is no need for so many sweaters here in Southern California but what’s a girl to do? I’ve been working hard to build a wardrobe that’s sort of timeless and only buying products that I can use for years to come. LOFT products have really decent quality so I know I don’t have to worry too much about anything falling apart before I get enough use out of it.
Lou & Grey Signaturesoft V-Neck T Shirt in purple fig and I love it! I pretty much lived in it this weekend. The material is incredibly soft and the color is a deep eggplant purple. I love wearing oversized sweaters with leggings so this one is perfect! I got it in a large to have that oversized look. I just cuff the sleeves and put on some booties for a more polished look.

Colorblock/Blocked Poncho Sweater in ominous teal and faded rouge. I really liked the structure of these sweaters and wasn’t sure which color I’d like more. I don’t have a sweater of either color in my closet so I thought I’d try both. I got them in the medium and do like them but don’t love them so I’m not sure if I’ll keep either one. I’m leaning towards the teal one for now.

Relaxed Turtleneck Sweater in faded rouge. I love the color and the slouchy-ness of this turtleneck. I just wish it was a couple inches longer because I obviously can’t wear this out with tights. I could wear it with jeans but lets be honest, that’s not going to happen enough for me to actually justify keeping the sweater so back it’ll go!

Overall, I really love the quality of the stuff I get at LOFT. I’ll be doing more reviews in the future because I always wonder about how actual people feel about their purchases. Hope you’re all having a great week!
